Fund Raising

The Girls Thunder Volleyball program has a few fund raising activities. These funds are used to support the team, equipment, practice shirts, banquet, awards, trips, tournament fees, etc. Other fund raisers include: booster/family memberships, t-shirt sales, or other items.

These funds go directly to the booster club.

eScrip (www.escrip.com)
The eScrip program is voluntary but requires individuals to sign up for a small percentage of their dollars spent at specific stores to go towards the program. For example, if you sign up for Safeway then a portion of the money you spend at Safeway will go towards the Girls Thunder Volleyball program. DV Fund Raising

Tax Credit Donations Accepted
A tax credit donation of up to $400 per married couple or $200 per single parent can be made to Desert Vista and specifically directed to the DV Girls Volleyball program. When making your tax credit donation, please make your check out to Desert Vista and note in the memo line that DV Girls Volleyball is to receive the money. Click here to print a tax donation form. Please donate, the athletes need your support.

Note: A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the actual tax owed. A tax deduction only reduces total taxable income from which the taxed owed is calculated.

Cookie Dough Sale
The girls will participate in cookie dough sales to raise money for the volleyball program. Details will be distributed during the season.
These funds go directly to the girls volleyball program.

Father/Daughter Car Wash
This fundraiser is generally held on a Saturday in September at Burger King & Taco Bell at 40th St. & Chandler Blvd. Check the Calendar page for a specific date.
These funds are split with the girls volleyball program and booster club.

Serve-a-thon
A serve-a-thon may be conducted in August or early September.
These funds go directly to the girls volleyball program.

Community Service for Boosters and Players

A Community Service event will be planned during the season. More info to come.
